Wellwood House Built in 1600 and extended in 1740 and 1878. Early residents were the Campbell Family and also the Critchley Family. Col. J. G. A. Baird, M.P., took it over in 1878. During the First World War it was used as a convalescent Home for Belgium soldiers. It was demolished in 1928.
