The lane at Burnside, taken from near the old Ramsay & Jackson building, looking towards the main street. The small building on the left is still there, in the corner of Miltons Yard. The house on the right is gone, as is the thatched house beside it. The red sandstone building in its place is dated 1907, therefore this image is before then. The burn, The River Chalk is now covered at this location.
