These shots are taken from above Sorn village looking North and North East on 23rd December 2009. The snow was the heaviest fall for a few years, possibly since around 2001, when we had a level fall of 14 inches, a day or two before New Year. The 2009 level fall in the village was around 8 inches, but there were places it was certainly deeper.

In 2009, the trees were breaking under the strain of the weight of the snow, and one or two even fell over completely. A total of around 600 photos were taken from 20th until the 23rd. The wonders of digital photography.
