SORN VILLAGE HALL

A couple of views showing Sorn Village Hall in the early 70s, left, and a little later when the first design of picnic area was completed. The lights on in the old prefab on the right image show the former hosiery, now long gone. Living close by, the writer recalls the terrible smells made when they burned the old cuttings of cloth and wool or whatever, a practise which is thankfully outlawed now. Both images are made up of 2 small snapshots which almost join together.
