The above image is a clearer shot of a similar view to the last, and includes again carriages outside the Black Bull. The Place is seen just beyond this in the centre of the image, and again, the Boxworks chimney. The road on the left at the second gable was known as Princes Street, which is a very short street linking The Cowgate, or Coogate as it is pronounced locally, and Earl Grey Street.
