A sample of the previous image, looking down Loudoun Street. In the centre is the archway that once led to The Abbey Kirk, next to small low buildings. (Built 1884, demolished 1969) This block where the low houses are, was converted to a large double storey building, and became home to Blair's the Baker. Today it is part of R&R Sports, and the ardware shop. The building was previously The Jean Armour and Geordie's video shop!!
