The Mauchline Parish Church Hall, opened in 1895, as mentioned in John Taylor Gibb's book page 20. The site during Burns' time was taken up by a square of houses, one of which was the Black Horse Hotel. (see p20 JTG book) The hall here looks as though it has just been completed.
