image was taken from a piece of Mauchline Ware which is on display in
the Burns House Museum, although the high res image is from the original
negative. The above inscription was on the Mauchline Ware. This kirk
was demolished to make way for The North Kirk in 1884. (JTG book ref
page 23 suggests the dates are 1793 for the
construction, and 1883 for the demolition). |
