Loudoun Street looking towards the church, including the low one storey houses on the right, on the site of the current day Post Office. This style of house was at one time common around Mauchline. The Loudoun Arms is on the left, complete with the old Loudoun Spoot. This image is taken from a photograph album, donated to the Burns House Museum in 1999 by Alistair Milne of Innerleithen. The photographer was unknown, until many of the images began to match up with the John Taylor Gibb collection, and thus perhaps we could assume that the whole album was produced by John Taylor Gibb.
