A sample of the previous larger image, showing The Loudoun Arms, The Star Inn (thought to be), and Number 1 Loudoun Street. This is really another great view of the old Loudoun Spoot, which was taken apart for refurbishment in 2000, and replaced by a modern day stone. It is a pity the old trough was not saved This image is taken from a photograph album, donated to the Burns House Museum in 1999 by Alistair Milne of Innerleithen. The photographer was unknown, until many of the images began to match up with the John Taylor Gibb collection, and thus perhaps we could assume that the whole album was produced by John Taylor Gibb.
