This sample of page number 035 shows a close up of the style of the low thatched dwelling houses which were once common in Mauchline. This is also a good shot of the gas lamp on the corner of the building. This image was most likely taken by John Taylor Gibb. This image is taken from a photograph album, donated to the Burns House Museum in 1999 by Alistair Milne of Innerleithen. The photographer was unknown, until many of the images began to match up with the John Taylor Gibb collection, and thus perhaps we could assume that the whole album was produced by John Taylor Gibb.
