Photo Willie Lyle
A close up of the folks standing outside Poosie Nansie's in the 1870s. It is
a curious thought that one of the very public houses the writer visits on a
regular basis had all these unknown folks standing for a photograph some 135
years ago, and 80 years before that Burns himsel' may have been wandering past.
It is also somewhat saddening to think that none of them will have to be worried
aboot a sair heid any more, to coin a local phrase.
