AILSA CRAIG INDEX

The sailing was quite exciting. Jim, the ships engineer told us the sea was calm, and that he had been out in far worse weather conditions!! There seemed to be a few biggish waves in the eyes of us landlubbers. Everyone on the trip did not quite have their sea legs however. The end result of visiting a non tourist orientated island which is seen from up and down the Ayrshire coastline, and beyond, made up for any doubts about the crossing.
