This image was used in the 2002 Gala exhibition in Mauchline. This photo was only rediscovered in the archives and used on line in 2011. Names on the back were as follows, (which obviously doesn't include all the men, but maybe referring to the six main guys in the front) Bobby 'Ginger' Jamieson, Jas and Dan Cartner, Reid Halliday, Tom Kilpatrick, Guy Pollock. |

Left: A view which includes the old Post Office at the Cross in the 80's, compared to an image from June 2011. Look at the side of the bulding as it was in 2011, and compare some of the paint jobs seen in old photos. See that the spelling of howf / howff has changed over the years!!! |
