The third of the images we have of the large double storey block on the site between the Parish Kirk wall and the wall of Mauchline Castle. The old water pump is seen left of centre. This shot is only a sample of a full image of slideshow025.html, dating from pre 1880. The image is from the collection of John Taylor Gibb, although the plate may be of an age that the original photographer was Ballantyne.
